Boréale

Homebrew for the long nights.

Open-source apps for the Nintendo Switch, made with care and one shared look. Parental controls on the console, your own game library, and the interface library behind both.

Projects

Three projects, one sky

Each one has its own site, its documentation and a simulator you can try in your browser.

PlayGuard

Switch homebrew · 1.3.0

Nintendo's parental controls, right on the console. No phone app, no Nintendo account, no internet.

Released

PlayShelf

Switch homebrew

Your game library, on the console. Browse a library server you run yourself and install your own backups and homebrew.

Shared ground

Built the same way

One look

Cadran, Aurore's default look: an icon rail, cards, vector icons, light and dark themes. Learn one app, you know the other.

Every console language

Fifteen languages, switched while the app runs, and documentation in English and French.

Try it first

PlayGuard and PlayShelf run in your browser, on a simulated console, before anything touches your SD card.

In the open

GPLv3, built and tested on GitHub at each change, with the code, the issues and the roadmap in public.

Your console, your games

These apps run on a console with custom firmware, at your own risk. They work with what you own: none of them supports, or will support, a service that distributes games without the rights to do so.
